Hey everyone, I’m Lisa de Bruin, and I perform under the name LISADEBROWN. I’m from a small village called Ankeveen, and I’ve been involved with music my whole life. I started with music lessons when I was very young, and later I took up dance classes, which I still do today. When I was 17, I often went out but never heard the kind of music I liked. That’s when I decided to become a DJ, thinking, ‘my Spotify playlist is better than this music.’ I then went to DJ school for two years to work on my DJ technique.
I’ve now been pursuing my DJ career for 6 years, but something was still missing… I couldn’t produce music. While I released remixes and originals, I worked with engineers or ghost producers. I soon realized I needed to learn how to produce my own tracks, so now I’m studying at the Wisseloord Academy. My goal is to reach the top, both in the Netherlands and internationally as a DJ, and my own productions are a crucial part of that. I’ve already had the opportunity to perform in Mauritius, East Timor, and Bonaire, and I hope to do many more exciting shows abroad.
I mainly produce Shatta, Dancehall, Afro, and Baile Funk.
