Emerging post-hardcore\/screamo collective aquelarre*\u2019s slick production and artwork belies
\nits DIY nature. Recorded on a shoestring budget in an assortment of bedrooms and basements, it touches a wide range of sounds from the aggressive highs of songs like
\nredvelvetbathrobe2goldrevolvers to the slow and oceanic and. Emo-tinged guitars, pummelling basslines and frenetic screamed vocals make for a challenging but surprisingly palatable listening experience akin to Alexisonfire or Viva Belgrado.<\/p>\n

Tray makes an energetic, tough combination of grunge, shoegaze and sludge metal. In their performances they take the audience along in their outlet for all sorts of frustrations, from political power to emotional powerlessness. They address this in many ways. Sometimes with satirical mockery. Sometimes by looking it straight in the eye. But always with the full conviction to conquer the frustration, to make room for what\u2019s truly important: change.<\/p>\n
