Lars Koehoorn wins Buma NL Award with “GAP” performed by Wesly Bronkhorst and Bizzey

Last Monday Poppodium 013 in Tilburg hosted the prestigious Buma NL Awards. Lars Koehoorn, signed with Wisseloord Publishing/BMG Benelux, has been awarded one of the Most Successful Singles of 2024 Awards. The awards are known for celebrating the talents behind Dutch hit songs: producers, songwriters and industry professionals.

Lars received the Buma NL Award for the song GAP performed by Wesly Bronkhorst and Bizzey. It is his first Buma NL Award, but there is no doubt that it will not be his last: just this September Lars already scored two major hits with Ik Spaar Geen Centen by Mart Hoogkamer and Alleen Met Jou by Yves Berendse and Emma Heesters.

Appreciated and applauded by his colleagues
In his acceptance speech, artist Wesly Bronkhorst applauded Lars: ‘Here we have a great guy. Lars Koehoorn, I want to put him in the spotlight for a moment. Because this guy is already big, but he’s going to be so incredibly big, really. I really mean that. And that’s not to suck up, but I just want to mention it.’ The award is another milestone in Lars’ career. He was signed by Wisseloord Publishing (a collaboration with BMG Benelux) in 2021 and continues to dedicatedly work on new projects and collaborations.

Buma NL
Buma NL is the yearly event for everyone who works for and with the Dutch-language repertoire. In addition to the award show, Poppodium 013 also hosted a conference with discussions, master classes, showcases and interactive panels that Lars joined as well. The top ten with Dutch-language work is compiled annually based on data from GfK, Soundaware and the Stichting Nederlandse Top 40.
