Matteo Bevilacqua (b. 2004, Milan) is a music critic and content creator with a strong presence on social media under the name mattebevi.
His work focuses on music communication, with the aim of deepening awareness not only of groundbreaking artists and their music, but also of the production processes and industry structures behind them — especially within independent and alternative frameworks.
Over the years, he has collaborated with some of Italy’s most respected cultural platforms, including BSMT — one of the country’s leading cultural podcasts — as well as JAZZMI and MI AMI Festival, contributing editorial content and digital storytelling.
Matteo is the co-director of Ad Astra, an independent record label founded by producer Machweo. There, he oversees communication strategies and shares responsibilities for artistic direction, helping to shape the creative identity of the label and its artists.
He also curates Ribes, a series of acoustic and electronic jam sessions hosted at NAMA – Nuovo Anfiteatro Martesana in Milan, where he handles artistic direction and event programming with a focus on community building and musical exploration.
Currently, Matteo is pursuing a degree in Arts and Cultural Events at IULM University Milano.
Across all his activities, his mission is to bridge the gap between audiences and the behind-the-scenes of music — fostering a deeper understanding of how the music industry operates, evolves, and survives outside the mainstream.
