What to Expect at the Sunday Sessions: Herb’s Excellent Adventure
During the Wisseloord Sessions, you get the chance to experience a double live recording in Wisseloord’s famous Studio 1 every first Sunday of the month. On February 2nd, Herb’s Excellent Adventure will present you a refreshing blend of gritty pop, uplifting funk and blistering alt rock. The four piece band from The Netherlands is known for combining their heavy American rock with melodic Anglo-European indie pop. The band recently released their new EP NinetyFour, which coincides with their 30 year anniversary: plenty of reasons to celebrate hard with us at Wisseloord!
An Explosive Live Show At the Location of Recording
Mister E & the Mysteries gives the classic rock band a fresh twist, with screaming guitars and energetic vocals that bring the best of the past to the present. Add to that an explosive live show, in which the frontman uses every inch of the stage, and you know you don’t want to miss their show. Mister E & the Mysteries will kick off the year with an expansion of their repertoire, recorded in the Wisseloord Studios. Think of an aria that transitions into a twanging Axl Rose, a strumming bass that propels the band into fiery drum fills and guitar solos. The second studio EP, recorded in Wisseloord, will be released in March and played live in combination with their first studio EP and unreleased material. The new music is soaked with personal stories about imprisonment, liberation and a dazzling same-sex rock-’n-roll romance.
During the sessions Brasserie Wisseloord, is opened: enjoy a lunch or drink in the cozy forest restaurant before being carried away by the bands. The performances start at 13:30 o’ clock. Free entrance.
