On April 6th, the Wisseloord Sunday Sessions are back with two upcoming rock bands: Badminton and Hardhout! The sessions will kick off at 13:30, Brasserie Wisseloord is open for a snack and bite and you have free entrance! Be there on time, as the KNMI warns for code orange during the performance…
Badminton
KNMI WARNING, hard band from east rages with tremendous force; code orange, at least! What once started as an attic project of a little kid with an electric guitar, has grown into today’s Badminton. A alt-rock-garage band with a nod to the 90s. The four rough-and-tumbles make music to mosh, to spill beer on and wring your old Ramones tee out on. Luca de la Haye’s voice is reminiscent of Liam Gallagher but the band builds a sound around it with a drummer that will smash you around the ears, a bassist who provides the necessary load of kitten and beech and guitarists who play their fuzz and distortion pedals as if they happily pedal the tandem popping up the A35.
Badminton shares the stories you experience during your youth; finding and losing of love, searching for your self-confidence and weathering the whirlwind that your 20s brings. ‘We want to convey an energy that motivates and breaks away from the limits of the daily grind.’
Hardhout
Hardhout is new and ready to show you what they have in store during the Wisseloord Sunday Sessions. Hailing from Utrecht, the Netherlands, Hardhout presents their funkrock in the legendary Studio 1: and you can be one of the first to hear!
The Sunday Sessions take place on Sunday April 6th from 13:30-15:30. Brasserie Wisseloord is open before, during and after the performance. Free entrance.
