Module 1 – The art of listening, songwriting and production
This module is intended to provide our students with practical support in developing their creative and musical talents. Our lectures, given by industry professionals, cover a variety of topics such as lyric writing, song arranging, the application of harmony and melody, and the realities of writing and production sessions.

Module 2 – Career development and industry network
During these group lessons, students gain an in-depth insight into the Dutch and European music industry. They attend lectures from leading professionals in the field, including label executives, publishers, managers, artists, producers and bookers. What makes Wisseloord Academy unique is the diverse talents and experience of our students. Some students have years of experience and advanced skills in songwriting, performing and playing instruments, while others are just taking their first steps into the world of musical creativity. In these practical lessons, students learn from each other by participating in production and songwriting sessions. These sessions are led by Academy mentors and guest lecturers, who provide personal feedback to shape and develop creative visions.

Module 5 – Recording and mixing audio
This module focuses on audio and the basics of sound. In the legendary Wisseloord Studios we cover a wide range of topics, such as acoustics, digital and analogue recording techniques, the basics of mixing and mastering, advanced mixing and mastering techniques, and recording full bands. Our goal is to provide students with the skills needed to record, mix and master live bands with confidence and at a professional level.

Module 7 – Stage act development
In this module we guide you in developing and strengthening your image and stage presence as an artist. This includes stage coaching for live performances and designing the complete sound of an artist set from the ground up. Module 10 – Creative management & organization
Develop your skills as an artist manager, A&R and industry professional in a practical way, right in the heart of the music industry. This module includes 8-12 hours per week of organizational training and project management. You will gain experience in various work areas, such as marketing, promotion, content creation and event organization. Work on projects by real artists from the Wisseloord community! You will also receive one-on-one coaching and follow five lessons from Module 2.
